Barry Wartime Weekend:  Aug 30 / 31st 2014

rabarryThis year`s Barry Wartime Weekend could argueably be described as the biggest and best event yet, commemorating both the First & Second World Wars.

It had living history encampments for both periods and aerial displays at Barry Island on both days.

The RED ARROWS  displayed over Barry Island Beach on Saturday 30th August.

We`re glad that you had a great weekend. Please spare a few minutes to go to Trip Advisor, Glamorgan Wartime Heritage Centre.

Arthur was flitting between Hood Road and Barry Island, so a shame you missed him

All credit for the aerial display and trains must however go to John Buxton of the Barry Tourist Railway. He both organised and financed the displays.
